The Indian Embroidery Art

Embroidery is a skill of beautifying fabric or other materials with needle and thread or yarn. Embroidery work can include other decorative materials such as metal strips, pearls, beads, quills, and sequins. In India, Embroidery work done on caps, hats, coats, handbags, blankets, dress shirts, denim, stockings, and T-shirts. But it is widely done on women outfits like sarees, salwar kameez, lehenga choli, kurtis and men’s ethnic outfits such as sherwanis, kurtas etc..

Now-a-days, for mass production of embroidered clothes, emnbroidery machines are used almost by all textile manufacturers. With the help of various embroidery software, we are now able to get digitized designs. Embroidery is available with a wide variety of thread or yarn color.
With the latest hop-out in a nearby market and online market of Indian ethnic clothes for women, I was admiring the beautiful embroidery designs on sarees, salwar kameez, lehenga choli, kurti and much more. Emboidered things are much easy to use and care. It gives an ethnic look without doing much on the total look. Let us have a look at some embroidered Indian art :
